PROJECT COORDINATOR
Project Coordinator

 

 

 

 

The Project Coordinator position is accountable for monitoring the progress of projects, investigating variances, approving expenses, and ensuring that project billings are issued to customers and payments collected while following contractual requirements for project accounting paperwork.

Project Coordination

• Manage the customer contract and change order process.
o Ensure the process is timely and follows the correct process.
o Make certain the terms, insurance requirements and other job-specific documents are passed down to subcontractors on the job.
o Complete owner requirements for billing deadlines, waivers, or other related documents.
o Coordinate with accounting on certified payroll requirements or extraordinary accounting-related items that needs to be handled or discussed.
• Manage the processing, reviewing, tracking, and posting of construction draws for multiple projects, including additional breakouts and back up required to meet requirements on GMP or T&M projects.
• Manage the accounts receivable collections process and provide weekly updates on status. Work with the cash receipts team member to reconcile payment variances.
• Manage approval of accounts payable invoices, beginning with coding invoices to the appropriate job number, cost code, GL account number, PO or Subcontract numbers and distributing invoices to Project Managers for approval.
• Manage the process of subcontract agreements/purchase orders and maintain files.
• Manage and maintain lien waiver maintenance and subcontractor insurance verification
• Assist with job cost tracking, analysis and reporting.
• Assist PM in tracking over/under billings and help establish a system to work together and keep projects from being under billed.
• Interface with Project Managers and senior management on all aspects of construction accounting.
• Maintaining project files, in both print and electronic formats.
• Communicate with project managers, vendors, and external parties.
• Provide support of auditor requirements, which may include research and reconcilement.

PROJECT ENGINEER
Project Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

Project Engineer duties include files / planning and layout. They are in charge of all submittal and shop drawings transmittals, releases, correspondence and product data. The project engineer does RFI correspondence and manages updated drawings and posting. Also manages TIP process from job start-up throughout entire project.

ELECTRICAL SUPERINTENDENT
Superintendent

Superintendents take on overall responsibility to ensure a quality installation of electrical systems in existing and in new installations. May work for a superintendent running field installations, or may run up to $1,000,000 job completely with more field experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures all employees working on project work safely in all instances.
• Monitor production and scheduling of sub-contractors.
• Accountable for the actions of the foremen and all crew members.
• Responsible for accuracy of quality of entire installation.

Reports To: V.P. OF PRECONSTRUCTION – Preconstruction Manager

Summary:

Performs estimates to suit customer’s needs and budget incorporating coordination with other disciplines to minimize the company risk.

Responsibilities:

• Attends and participates in design engineering meetings coordinating Electrical discipline on behalf of the company against all other disciplines.

• Studies architectural, civil, structural, and mechanical specifications and drawings in relationship to electrical requirements.

• Performs conceptual estimating from owner’s budgetary needs until issuance of construction drawings.

• Performs quantity survey takeoffs for all electrical items as detailed on drawings.

• Compiles subcontract and/or vendor information packages for quotes.

• Evaluates and verifies subcontract and/or vendor scopes of work against requirements.

• Performs data analysis and entry into computerized estimating system to produce quality estimates.

• Communicates and coordinates with the project development department regarding schedules and deadlines.

• Attend meetings with Client for coordination of Quality Process
• Manage the commissioning process and commissioning staff
• Attend Plan of Tomorrow Meetings daily
• Arrange and coordinate third party testing

• Planning and Layout
o Assist operations with planning and coordinating quality and commissioning
o Assist logistics manager in determining and obtaining quality staff needs

• Assist the Site Manager to Manage the Costs of the Project
o Personnel and labor costs
o Improve efficiency
o Maintain success rate average in excess of 97.5%
o Third party testing vendors and contracts

• Safety
o Coordinate with site safety manager for materials, tools and equipment for quality and commissioning staff
o Ensure personnel have the correct tester for the work performed

• Develop quality personnel
o Identify personnel with potential for advancement and train them to be your replacement.
