About Blake Ely

Blake is the Director of Preconstruction and has a long history of field and leadership experience since starting with E Light in 2006. His responsibilities include trade partnership development and maintenance, oversight of the preconstruction department, mentorship of junior staff, carrying multiple masters licenses around the country to facilitate expansion of company projects outside Colorado, and interdepartmental collaboration. Blake’s foundation is in the field, providing him an opportunity to learn the company and electrical profession from the ground up. He was a superintendent for multifamily, MOB, and specialized office buildings and Project Manager spanning projects from Aviation support facilities to healthcare. Blake is a also a member of the NEC code making Panel on CMP-4. Outside of the office Blake is a member of the U.S. National Kung Fu Team alongside his teenage son, for which he has competed internationally. He enjoys camping with family and friends and engages in multiple hobbies to include video/photography, woodworking, and amateur HAM radio.

Kasey Card

About Kasey Card

Kasey is the Director of Service and has worked for E Light’s service team for 10 years. Having served as the Service Department Manager for 8 of those years, he’s been responsible for the Denver and Colorado Springs teams. The Service Department handles a wide variety of E Light’s projects which span from healthcare, to solar, commercial, and much more. Kasey began his career with E Light’s in-house apprenticeship program. He eventually obtained his Journeyman’s license and then became a Master Electrician. Kasey enjoys the challenges that come from a variety of projects in a demanding timeframe. Kasey credits his team with the department’s success. They are an amazing team that works hard on difficult work. On Kasey’s free time he enjoys camping with his family and working on his project cars as much as he can.

Roseanne Mullis

About Roseanne Mullis

As the Director of Human Resources for E Light Electric, Roseanne is responsible for providing strategic guidance and leadership and oversees all aspects of the human resources function.  With over 20 years of progressive human resource experience, Roseanne is results driven with a record of effectiveness in building and maintaining relationships at all levels of the organization.  She obtained her Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR) in 2006 and continues her education through various courses offered through Employers Council and various other organizations to stay current with the ever changing human resources field.  Roseanne is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management commonly known as SHRM.  Roseanne has strong communication, interpersonal, mentoring and organizational skills and is recognized for working effectively with a diverse workforce.

Roseanne began her career back in 1998 in the accounting department of a local networking company but quickly learned that human resources was the direction she wanted to focus.   After performing payroll and human resources duties for several years she was able to focus entirely on human resources as the company she worked for grew.   Roseanne began her career with E Light Electric through friends and connections and has been with the company for over 15 years.

Ted Smith

About Ted Smith

The Director of Education and Loss Prevention oversees safety, education, scheduling, quality, commissioning, contracts, design and prefabrication departments for E Light. With more than 30 years of hands-on experience in all aspects of electrical contracting and operational management, he works closely with operations and preconstruction to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently with a high level of quality. Ted has been instrumental in using E Light’s prefabrication and Lean Construction practices to maximize the impact of each client’s financial investment.
 
Ted’s roots in electrical contracting extend back to the age of 10, when he started working with his electrician father. His professional experience has included project oversight in both the field and the office for a wide range of commercial construction projects. His certifications include Master Electrician licenses in multiple States, NCCER Master Trainer, Lean Construction Coach, Electrical Safety Trainer, and NICET Fire Alarm and Power Testing Certifications. Ted is also a primary member of Code Making Panel 4 for the National Electric Code.
 
Ted is a grandfather who enjoys fly fishing and spending time with his family.  He is also a model railroad enthusiast.

Bob Hamilton

About Bob Hamilton

Bob oversees E Light’s experienced accounting team including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Internal Audit. As Vice President of Finance, Bob’s priorities are to provide guidance to the company’s changing financial strategies and generate timely and accurate financial data.

Bob graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor’s of Science Business Administration with dual concentration on Finance and Accounting. He started his career in the Denver construction industry and quickly became Controller for a longstanding HVAC and Temperature Controls contractor. With 10 years of experience and a genuine understating of the construction process, his background includes contract management, audit preparation, benefits administration, GAAP compliance, OSHA reporting, and budget creation to name a few. He is enthusiastic about the opportunity to lend his experience to and gain knowledge from E Light’s growing and evolving business.

David Wright

About David Wright

David serves as Vice President of E Light’s Preconstruction Department. His responsibilities include business development, marketing and oversight of preconstruction services. He is a Journeyman Electrician, LEED-Accredited Professional, and holds a bachelor’s of science degree in business management. David specializes in design-build and design-assist projects, where innovative solutions can be implemented to solve budget and constructability issues.
 
Starting in the field as an apprentice, he’s been involved with nearly every aspect of delivering projects, including site management and estimating. Ultimately, his passion for the electrical trade brought him to our corporate office, where he has led E Light’s Preconstruction Department for many years. “I think my time in the field gives me an understanding of what it takes to get the job done. I know how hard the job can be at times and I appreciate the hard working people in the field that make it happen for E Light”. David is proud to be a part of the Executive Team at E Light, always welcoming a new venture or challenging project.
 
While his life stays very busy outside the office with his four children, David makes time to enjoy a host of activities including mountain biking, hiking and other outdoor sports.

Jason Wheeler

About Jason Wheeler

A dynamic leader and innovator, Jason has far-reaching responsibilities as CEO/President. With more than 26 years in the industry, he has introduced new technologies and training processes that have helped E Light become a regional leader in electrical contracting. 

Jason’s career began in the field as an apprentice where he quickly proved that his abilities exceeded his experience. After graduating from the four-year apprenticeship, he became a foreman/superintendent running large commercial projects. Jason then moved to an estimator position to learn the non-field side of the business. It wasn’t long before he was asked to PM projects, he had captured in the Colorado Springs market. Many of these projects ranged from $500,000 to more than $30,000,000 in electrical costs. Jason then became the Colorado Springs Area Manager which eventually led him becoming the VP of Operations for E Light Electric. Each one of these positions is where he developed scalable processes and key leadership skills.

Outside of the office, Jason is a family man, he loves spending his free time with his wife and two children. In addition, Jason enjoys camping or an occasional quick vacation. He and his family participate in a host of activities like boating, golfing, and all of Colorado’s great outdoor activities as often as possible.
