The $27.3 million dollar project broke ground in the spring of 2022 and is the only parks and recreation center in the state that is owned by a school district. It serves as a community hub for the residents of the southeast area of Colorado Springs. The facility amenities include an indoor suspended walking track, three full sized basketball courts, exercise rooms, locker rooms, meeting rooms, and three preschool classrooms.
