E Light began work on the Aurora Organic Dairy in 2011. Phase one consisted of upgraded refrigeration, process piping, and milk production. Phase two included three areas of their existing facility, a refrigerated addition; all occurring while plant operations continued. The 68,000 square foot expansion included utility upgrades, site redevelopment, additional dock & loading space, conveying and storage, expanded administration, and infrastructure upgrades. The most recent phase, a refrigerated addition and ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System), added another 180,000 square feet of refrigerated storage space, standing 10 stories above the Colorado plains.
